2025 U.S. Paralympics Swimming National Championships set for June in Boise, Idaho

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – U.S. Paralympics Swimming today announced the dates and location of the 2025 U.S. Paralympics Swimming National Championships. The prestigious competition, which will feature many of the country’s top Para swimmers, will be contested from June 19-22 at the Idaho Central Aquatic Center.
It will mark the first time U.S. Paralympics Swimming has hosted a major domestic event in Boise, Idaho. The 2023 and 2024 editions of national championships were held in Orlando, Florida at the Rosen Aquatic Center.
“After competing in the southeast for the past two years, we wanted to make sure we promote the sport in other parts of the country,” Amanda Duke Boulet, Director, U.S. Paralympics Swimming, said. “With Los Angeles 2028 on the horizon, it’s important for us to garner as much exposure for Para Swimming in as many geographic regions as possible. We are so excited about the opportunity to partner with Boise and the Idaho Central Aquatic Center to showcase the sport in a region that hasn’t necessarily had that exposure before.”
The state-of-the-art Idaho Central Aquatic Center opened in 2023 and features an eight-lane 50-meter competition pool, a separate six-lane 25-yard pool and seating for nearly 1,000 spectators.
Ryan Stratton, co-founder and developer of the facility, shares the same sentiment and is looking forward to welcoming the event to Boise.
“We’re excited to act as hosts for the 2025 Paralympic National Championships. Bringing athletes of this caliber to our facility and this city is an amazing opportunity for our community and we’re grateful to be able to play a small role in the success of these incredible swimmers.”
Visit Boise was instrumental in bringing national championships to Idaho.
"Boise is honored to host the 2025 U.S. Paralympic Swimming Nationals and welcome these elite athletes, coaches, and fans to our city," said Carrie Westergard, executive director of Visit Boise. "This event showcases the incredible talent, determination, and spirit of Paralympic athletes, and we are proud to provide a top-tier venue and an unforgettable experience in and out of the pool. We invite everyone to explore Boise’s vibrant downtown, accessible outdoor recreation, and welcoming community."
In the first year of the 2028 Paralympic Quad, the 2025 national championships will be an exciting opportunity to watch Paralympic medalists, Paralympic hopefuls and promising newcomers on their journey to Los Angeles in 2028. The 2025 national championships will be contested in the middle of an action-packed summer for Team USA Para swimmers, who will also be competing in the Para Swimming World Series and training for the 2025 Para Swimming World Championships in September in Singapore.
